Sequinella was born and raised in Manchester, UK, with the Caribbean heritage of St. Kitts & Jamaica. She fell in love with music from an early age. Her father is a drummer/ steel pan player, and her mother was once a pianist, so she was born into music. Sequinella is a dancer by trade, studying many styles from Ballet to Hip hop, Afro, Latin, theatre craft and all the in-between. She has always explored different styles and genres of music throughout her life. Classical, AfroTech, Bass, House, Drum & Bass, Jungle, Soca, Calypso, Jazz, House, Dance, Latin, RnB and Afrobeat. Somehow, she always finds a way to blend different genres into different styles and tempos.
