Senaida
Biografía
Through her work as a conscious artist and thought leader, she explores the intersection between art, emerging technologies and sustainability. Her future-defining sound design infuses deep techno with avant-garde electronic music practices.
As a DJ and curator, SENAIDA focuses on creating a moment that connects time, people, place and culture together into a one-of-a-kind experience. Trained as a classical pianist and multi-instrumentalist at the Phil and Eli Taylor Academy for Young Artists, she made her Carnegie Hall debut at 15 and went on to compose a full original score for Havergal College’s production of Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen. Although having produced and released music since 2019, she made her debut as a DJ on Refuge Worldwide (Berlin) in 2022. In the span of six short months, SENAIDA found herself playing sold-out parties at 99 Scott, The Sultan Room and headlining at Virgo. She is the co-host of Classy & Sassy on WNYU (NYC), and founder of WE ARE THE FUTURE! — an interdisciplinary art fair/art share and curated dance party meant to open up dialogues between artists regarding our collective future, and how our practices can better serve our goals. She is also a resident DJ at XPizza where she hosts a monthly WE ARE THE FUTURE! Radio featuring local talent.
She is currently working on her debut album, KUNST KAPUTT, which serves as a sonic time capsule for her time in Berlin. Sonically, the album explores the cracks between techno, IDM and dark ambient music through experimentation and generative processes.
