sel in space

Sel in Space is a Detroit-based selector with New York roots whose sound exists where rhythm meets liberation. Drawing from the relentless groove of Midwestern house, the hypnotic pulse of Detroit techno, and the irresistible bounce of Afro-Caribbean drums, they craft sets that are as intentional as they are dynamic. Every mix tells a story, a sonic exploration of joy, freedom, and self-acceptance. Sel creates dance floors that feel like sanctuaries, centering authenticity, safety, and collective release. Through precise yet fluid blending, they transform moments into movement, guiding listeners past inhibition and into pure feeling. For Sel, DJing isn’t just performance, it’s ritual. It’s a reminder that when the groove takes over, we return to our truest selves.
