Biografía

SECRET 47 is the fruit of a collaboration between Yacine & Genti which started at the Exit Festival in 2008. Since then they have played together in numerous clubs around the Balkans and Europe and started to build up their reputation as a unique Back 2 Back team and played along side Johnny D (Germany), Anja Schneider (Berlin), Dave Mothersole, OXIA (Paris), Terry Francis & Nathan Coles (London), Kabale und Liebe (Amsterdam) and many more. Their tours have brought them to unique clubs such as OFF SONAR (ESP), Q Club (Zurich), Nordstern (Basel) etc. Known to have combined their talent to bring the best electronic beats and rythms to the clubbing connoisseurs, their performances always leave a lasting impression. Strongly influenced by Oriental roots and inspiration, percussions, drums, vocals and deep/tech house grooves are a signature of their style. But most of all, it's the energy that they deliver and share which make their performances unique. Genti – Life in Short Genti was born with a silver turntable in his mouth. Well, kind of. His aunt Ilirjana, a famous pop singer, took him to see his uncle Ilir (the first DJ in Kosova) playing at a club. He was 5-years-old, the legal age to party in Kosovo :-) He watched his uncle on the turntables mixing funk and soul music, feeling the energy it gave to people and knew right there and then that music would be a big part of his life. At the tender young age of 11, he and his brother opened a small tape recording company called Music Box where they created a wide rage of music compilations using cassette tapes. He still uses cassettes on a regular basis and is lobbying fiercly with Pioneer for the creation of the first "TapeDJ-1200", the outcome of this device still to be decided, although it's not looking to good. He studied in New York City graduating in Travel, Hospitality and Business when he and his brothers Noki & Probus founded Buyrum (www.Buyrumnyc.com) in 2000 - a promotional company that began organizing boat parties and gigs at hotel penthouses throughout the city. In 2005, he co-founded the More Lounge in mid-town Manhattan, a successful small club that was known for its excellent afterhours which kept the doors open until the sun rised. 2006 he founded Spray Club (www.sprayclub.com, www.myspace.com/sprayclub) with his cousin Bersant. SPRAY Club is located 2 km outside the capital city of Prishtina, in Kosovo. In the next 2years SPRAY became one of the best 100 clubs in the world by DJ MAG. Yacine After following the electronic scene and traveling to the 4 corners of the globe on a quest to find the best parties and events since 1997; Yacine’s real start behind the decks was in 2007. Motivated by some of the best electronic DJs in the Balkan, he decided to take it to another level and start sharing his musical style. Hard to classify in one particular music genre or character - Yacine will always surprise the crowd by bringing different and unique rhythms together from all over the world in one blend of electronic delight. His sets go beyond just playing music: they’re about sharing moments and giving people a great time. In the past few year, he’s performed with DJs such as F.E.X (Paris), TITO (Paris), Dave Mothersole (Rain) or Anja Schneider. He also wishes his biography was longer but he prefers letting his mixing do the talking...
