Sean Daly is a producer and DJ from Dublin Ireland who has been steadily climbing the ladder in the local scene through his time hosting on Phever Radio and experience playing throughout Dublins most notable venues such as Here & Now, Index and Wigwam. He has clearly demonstrated their abilities by supporting Irish powerhouses such as Mark Blair, Chantel Kavanagh and Obskür. Sean’s sets are an engaging journey through multiple genres, seamlessly bouncing between house, techno, trance, electro, hard groove and breaks. Sean takes his dancefloor experiences with him into the studio and behind the decks, displaying his appreciation for a wide spectrum of electronic dance music. He is certainly one to keep an eye on. His first notable release ‘Funk With Me’, a French-House synth orientated track, released on the Irish label Doubleu, which kick started his career and paved the way for future releases. Since then Sean has shown he is still forward thinking in developing his sound, gradually gritting his sound and delving into producing harder-edged tracks such as electro, techno and trance. His electro edit of Akons – Smack That was notably featured in the Mixmag Impact series by Polands very own Monster DJ. Recently Sean has premiered his track ‘GO!’ with Irish Electronic music publication Four/Four. The track is a funk driven techno tool, that lends elements of 2-step garage while still tunnelling in a dizzying hypnotic fashion. Sean puts together an impressive package of half-stepping piece hypnotic techno, gelled with glitchy drums, pulsating bass and syncopated synth lines. This is the perfect midway between the sun-soaked after-party and the dingy warehouse. His latest release, ‘Run Away’ is a melodic, dreamy, melancholic trance track released on Indian label Filth Inc. The track is just another example of the range of genres and styles Sean is capable of producing.
