Sasha Vore
Biografía
Sasha Vore's music reflects the wealth of influences that raised them, born in a Portuguese-Brazilian household and raised between the booming streets of Lisbon and London. They found strong community within local underground queer scenes, paying homage to the communities of colour that built these spaces. Within the queer ballroom scene, voguing has formed a root for Sasha's performance, the elements of musicality and fierceness permeating every set. Sasha Vore plays to the lovers and the dancers, fuelling the floor with soulful, sexy, nostalgic and emboldening beats that embody the core of why people feel moved by music. It speak to that all-human feeling that connects sound to body, and is unthinkable without dance.
Sasha Vore's sound has been heard by audiences over a range of mediums, having been welcomed by stations such as Voices Radio, Brixton Radio, Glow Machine and Xpressions Radio, as well as iconic staple venues such as Dalston Den, Dalston Superstore, Brixton Radio, The Phoenix, Move and Bomba. Sasha Vore has collaborated with a range of likeminded collectives and projects including Nekolektiv, Collective Hysteria, Hijacked Festival and Redemption Studios, constantly hoping to reach further audiences that will connect with their art.
