Sasha Tigresa is an Indonesian-german DJ and electronic music producer based in Barcelona and Berlin. She finds the two cities perfectly represent her musical energy. Combining the influence of afrolatino cultures in Barcelona, and underground scenes in Berlin, she involves varieties of percussions, techno, and ambient sounds in her mixes. Her love for music and rhythms began since a young age as she learned to play Arabic musical instruments like Riqq, Tabla and Darbuqa in the age of 6. She sang and composed songs on guitar throughout her teenage years, before eventually jumping into the world of electronic music production and starting her DJ career in 2021. To her, music is intimacy. It's a way to communicate emotions and feelings that words fail to explain otherwise. She hopes by listening to her music, one would feel and understand the emotions that she tries to convey, and eventually build an intimate connection in between her and her listeners.
