Sār (CA)

Originally from India and now based in Toronto, Sār’s relationship with rhythm began long before club systems. Raised in a family deeply rooted in Indian classical music and trained in Tabla from a young age, he developed an instinctive understanding of percussive structure, timing, and dynamic control—foundations that now define his approach to music. That early immersion shapes the way he builds sets today. His transitions are intentional, low-end movement precise, and phrasing instinctive. Drawing from UK Garage, Dubstep, Jungle, and new age House, Sār remains rhythm-first at his core. His technical precision and genre-fluid selections have made him a staple in Toronto’s electronic circuit, where he actively performs with various collectives across the city's notable venues. This momentum led to him opening for UK DJ and producer Zero during his Toronto debut in October 2025. Sār's sound also translates seamlessly to the airwaves; he holds a monthly residency at the local Another Setting Radio and has made a guest appearance on the UK-based Subtle Radio. Now expanding into edits and original production, he continues to evolve a sonic identity that bridges Indian classical sensibility with contemporary global club energy.
