Sami Sameer is a multidisciplinary sound artist and DJ raised in Oman and currently based in Barcelona. Growing up, he studied orchestral and jazz percussion, sparking his relationship with music, which was fueled by his brain's constant need for stimulating sounds. He developed an obsession with the unpredictable rhythms and chaotic spirit of the music he studied and referenced. As a DJ, Sami is making a name for himself in Barcelona's electronic music scene, with appearances for underground projects including Dos Dos Radio, Jokkoo Collective, and Zilzal Platform. His sets are known for their abrasive and industrial textures, seamlessly traversing genres such as deconstructed club, noise, dubstep, breaks, and ambient, while also drawing inspiration from his musical upbringing and his Latinx and Middle Eastern roots.
