A deeper dub, minimal and ambient artist by trade, Sa Pa uses freeform rhythms, drums and the sonic phenomena of field recordings to help create a nebulous realm for spatio-temporal immersion. Since the release of his debut work Fuutbutsushi (風物詩), the artist’s discography has grown to include multiple albums, soundtracks and EPs. Sa Pa has released music with labels like Mana, MDR and Astral Industries to newer upstart imprints like Rosa and Lamassu. Sa Pa’s collaborative album with Deadbeat, The Mountain, was crowned as BLKHRTZ’s 50th release, and it followed other collaborative projects with Ostgut Ton’s A_TON sub-label, and a single remix piece for Kontra Musik’s 10 Years X compilation.
