Born in Detroit, Ryan McCray made his return to the city and began collaborating and performing with many local artists. His first house album release, We Live for Memories, was followed up with many mixes, EP and single releases. Notable EP releases consist of Which Way to The 313, The Yellow EP, and, most recently, The Culture. Ryan paired up with fellow Detroit DJ/Producer, Bale Defoe, in 2014 to a create BlackBass. Ryan has been a "jack" of many instruments including bass, percussion, cello, guitar, etc. He began producing beats in early high school which transformed into producing House and Techno jams. After he bought his first pair of outdated Denon CDJs, he discovered a rabbit hole of mixing and producing that he has yet to make it out of.
