RUD4
Biografía
RUD4 is the musical project of Gabriela Chacón Bermúdez, a DJ, sound artist and cultural researcher whose practice is rooted in Latin American club culture, migration and Global South sound research. Her work understands the dancefloor as a space of pleasure, memory and transformation, where rhythm becomes a tool for connection and release.
Her DJ sets move fluidly through house, raptor house, global bass, funk carioca, tribal, Latin club and techno, combining hypnotic grooves with percussive intensity. RUD4 focuses on long-form journeys that balance movement and emotion, creating embodied experiences shaped by diasporic and peripheral sonic references.
She has been touring and performing across Venezuela, Colombia and Peru, building a practice closely connected to local scenes and independent platforms. Recently based in Barcelona, RUD4 is expanding her work in a European context while continuing to center Global South perspectives in contemporary club culture.
Alongside her artistic practice, she is currently studying a Master’s degree in Music Production and Management at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), and is a scholarship recipient of Bridge 48 Academy in Barcelona. Her research-driven approach informs both her musical selections and her broader vision of sustainability, independence and cultural exchange within the music ecosystem.
RUD4’s project lives at the intersection of club culture, research and lived experience, bringing Latin American and Global South narratives into contemporary electronic music spaces.
