Rosarito 1/2 is the ultimate incarnation of Andrés Archila, a Bogotá-based artist and producer. After living out his youthful punk fantasy, he dives into an ongoing quest to master his own production techniques, eventually establishing the foundation for his current solo identity. Nostalgic melodic lines blend early ‘80s and ‘90s pop samples to create a sound that gracefully fuses ambient atmospheres, trip hop grooves and deep dub sensations. In an existential sense, Rosarito 1/2 embodies a post-capitalist desire for militancy that seeks to exalt the splendor of a contemplative life.
