Røpe is the alter ego behind Roberto Perez, born in Barcelona in 1990, based in Amsterdam 2015-2020. He got immersed in the Dutch electronic scene as an enthusiast of DeSchool, Shelter and Garage Noord. Playing at private parties, he grabbed the attention of Direct Drive's label manager Manu Martin, who invited him to play regularly at Hunter's. Since he moved back to BCN, he's been collaboraving with a few local labels, been invited to play at events and curate a small online radio show (Tune Sandwich, on Komrad.net). Currently co-creating Tilect.art. Røpe loves jumping across genres while building up mood-changing atmospheres . His sets often mix tough feelings of introspection with hopeful and uplifting melodies, to bring ravers into a reflective mood. He is most comfortable playing subgenres of techno and electro, combining new and oldschool music with a naughty approach. As a melancholic 90s kid, he enjoys playing vinyl-only.
