Using a palette of forgotten games machine samples and drum machine oddities, the final moments of a ‘bleep’ or an arbitrary background effect are manipulated to create sounds you might not expect. And although respectful of club culture, ROMsets removes that context altogether to create something unique and definitely underground. Following a string of self releases, the Welsh-born, Manchester based producer made his label debut in 2021 on Machine Woman’s label, Take Away Jazz Records with his off-kilter EP ‘Faultys’.
