His journey began with his father’s collection of jazz, rock, and punk cassettes, sparking an early fascination with a wide range of genres. At the age of seven, he took his first step into creating music by building a makeshift drum kit from objects he found in his parents' workshop, a clear indication of his creativity and passion for rhythm. His interest in electronic music grew in his early teens, leading him to his first raves, where he was captivated by the hypnotic beats and powerful energy of the music. Over the years, romantim developed his musical identity, blending influences from his diverse musical upbringing. In addition to playing drums, he began DJing, and at the start of 2023, he committed to a vinyl-only approach, bringing an authentic and tactile element to his craft. His sets today are a reflection of his adventurous spirit, characterized by a mix of old-school tribal beats, crunchy breakbeats, and nostalgic 90s trance, always infused with hip-shaking grooves.
