Roland Kemper is collecting and playing records since a long time. At the age of 12 he discovered gabber and hardcore music. The energy that he experienced at that moment was something different. From the moment he discovered gabber he started exploring the electronic side of music. A weekly visit to the local cd store and surfing the worldwide web for music. When he started to go out and set foot in a venue called den hemel, he heard local dj's playing techno! The music, the people, the vibe he felt there, made his love for electronic music even bigger. Local party's and collectives like technomite, soapclub, nitrogen, nightscapes, radion, moonraker and electro cute had a major influence. Clubs like silo, fuse, the zoo, montini,.. All of these made him buying his first pair of technics. From then he started collecting records and his musical taste started to grow. Hip hop, funk, soul, jazz, ambient and so many other genres had their influence. On a trip with his parents to Czech Republic he encountered the free party scene. Seeing the brutal police interventions near the location of the Czech teknival was also a big thing. He came home and immediately started to find out what this al was. Discovering what the freeparty scene was about. Little after this discovery there was the birth of the 013 soundsystem one of Belgiums finest soundsystems. The last years he played a lot in the free party scene. For the moment he has a residency for several soundsystems, foorsystem, naamloze zotten soundsystem, sektor 9, speelbos soundsystem. He also was part of the collective "bleep machine" and for the moment he is part of the collective "resident99_"
