Rob Warner has DJed since the early 1990s with early influences in New York and Detroit sounds that evolved into his own brand of oddball house, tribal and ethnic rhythms and techno. Rob is one of New Zealand's leading forward-thinking DJs and has held residencies at some of the best-known underground clubs - notably Box and Redzone - as well as a regular at summer festivals. His unique and edgy sounds have seen him play support for some the biggest names through to deepest tastemakers: Carl Craig, Sasha, Deep Dish, Nick Warren, Danny Howells, Stacy Pullen, Steve Lawler, Satoshi Tomiie, Derrick Carter, Phil Asher, Terry Francis, Pete Heller among many. For much of the early 2000s he was also the regular support DJ for Global Underground and Renaissance branded tours to NZ. His remixes include for Grammy-nominated artist Danny Tenaglia (alongside fellow Kiwi Shaveer), and he's produced compilation mixes for Ready Mix Records and BMG Music. As a music advocate he was closely involved in government development of financial support for artists and festivals during the pandemic and, since 2024, part of the Music Advisory Board for the Auckland City of Music as part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
