Rita Bass (sometimes skeeta) is a DJ, producer and lover of all things bass, breaks, jungle and UKG. Her sets are playful and energetic, mixing deep and dark rhythms with modern oozy dubstep, rolling bass lines and heaving percussion. In 2021 she released her debut 2-track EP ‘Apophenia/Shaped Curve’ which was followed by a remix EP featuring artists Ciel, IN2STELLAR +. She has contributed to compilations by Unrestricted Purpose and released remixes via Lost Properties, Burning Rose Records and San of the Rambutan. In 2023 she returned to the production desk, shifting her sensibilities towards vocal-focussed bass music. As a DJ she has supported idols including Tim Reaper, Sicaria, Tamen, Pugilist and featured on lineups for Strictly Drum n Bass, Run ‘n Chase, PBS’ The Blend and beyond. She is also ½ of the duo Strange Interactions who have played events including Brunswick Music Festival, Local Knowledge, Outta Range Festival and just returned from gigging in Asia with stops in Bali, Bandung and Bangkok.
