Composer/Producer/Songwriter, Rich Aucoin has both done his share of DIY touring or supporting acts like Caribou, Dan Deacon, Eris Drew, Aux 88, Girl Talk, Grimes, Austra, YACHT, and Of Montreal. He's written and arranged for Symphony and composed film scores. Toured around the world and played festivals such as Mutek, Best Kept Secret, Treefort (USA), Iceland Airwaves, Pop Kultur (Germany), BIME, Calvi on The Rocks, Festival Eletronika (Brazil), Fusion Festival (Germany), World-Pride, Berlin Music Festival, and Osheaga. Currently, recording the 4th part of a quadruple album: Synthetic (Synthetic: Season 4 - out October 31, 2025). The album is a tour of synth history with over 162 synths recorded so far at the National Music Centre in Calgary and the Vintage Synthesizer Museum in Los Angeles. The synths range from historic synthesizers like T.O.N.T.O. (used on records from Stevie Wonder to Gil-Scot Heron and used as the prop for the synthesizer in Phantom of the Paradise), one of a kind Roger Luther Moog modular synth or the super rare Sonica lute-looking synth to enormous synth systems like the Synthi 100 or EMS Electrocomps or Delta Music Research systems to classic synths like the Moog, M1, Prophet or Waldorf Wave.
