Rhythmicon refers to two things, both the world's first electronic drum machine as well as one of Victoria's premiere bass music artists. In a current musical climate littered with aggressive sounds, Rhythmicon stands out with distinctive sets build around groove and dance-ability. Purchasing decks while still in grade school, he holds over 10 years of experience honing his craft, producing through the latter half as well. With crates running deep he has long championed UK street styles of funky, garage, deep dubstep and jungle. Rhythmicon has received acknowledgement from his peers, placing in the finals for both the 2010 Hush DJ Challenge, and the 2011 Times Colonist Music Awards for Electronic Dance. His diversity allows him to share the stage with renowned taste makers including Jacques Green, Julio Bashmore, Skream, Zed Bias, Dub FX, Mount Kimbie, Kastle, Araabmuzik, The Glitch Mob, Zeds Dead, Excision, and Ramadanman. Rhythmicon is a core member of the culture-building sub|division crew, driving enthusiastic crowds at their monthly dance parties.
