Reuben Valentine

Reuben Valentine made his VIENNA debut on the Spring Sampler with the high-energy, groove-riddled ‘Wanna Dance?’, followed by a second outing on the label’s Winter Sampler. A collaborative release with VIENNA label boss Dan Fresco soon followed, marking the beginning of a close studio relationship between the pair. Music heads might say Reuben is simply ‘in the pocket’. His productions are built around deep, grooving basslines, syncopated stabs and treasured vocal hooks, all delivered with a distinctly high-energy edge. Spending increasing time in the studio, Reuben has since taken on the role of VIENNA A&R, helping shape the label’s sound and future direction. With a forthcoming release on Sidney Charles’ Heavy House Society and an EP in the works for George Smeddles’ South, Reuben is quickly establishing himself as one of the most exciting prospects in the UK underground.
