As a producer, Reger has received plaudits from esteemed artists such as Special Request as well as on BBC Radio 1 by Jaguar. In 2020, Reger was a winner of Special Request’s Dubplate contest and was awarded a special-cut vinyl from the legendary producer and DJ. Fast forward to August 2021, Reger and Special Request play alongside each other thanks to Derry's very own, JikaJika! Festival. Reger cites his main inspirations from the very best selectors. Gilles Peterson, Ben UFO, Call Super, Mr Scruff, Batu, only being a handful of influences on his tastes. As a skillful, intricately technical DJ, Reger will always find a way to construct sets in a unique way, drawing from a wide variety of different flavours and otherworldly, mind-bending selections. Reger's contribution to the wider Irish music scene has been unprecedented in recent years. Having started off BBC Introducing's 'Beat Seekers' series in July 2020, he has worked tirelessly to promote only the best new music from Ireland. Late-November 2022 saw the airing of his 4th mixtape for the station, showcasing the extreme wealth of talent the island of Ireland has to offer. On his 20th birthday, he made his AVA Festival debut in September 2021. A 2-hour slot on The Baltic stage saw a diverse array of sounds from all over the world, a set which is still praised to date! This set only showed a fraction of how eclectic Reger's tastes are, going from Hudson Mohawke to Rhythm & Sound to 70s Brazilian Funk to 90s Chicago House. In June 2022, he remixed local legend, Carlton Doom, on the reputable Hypercolour label. Reger has also contributed originals and remixes to the cutting edge Belfast imprint, Extended Play. The 21-year-old is set for an exciting 2023, with forthcoming appearances at AVA Festival, Ulster Sports Club and curated nights at Thompson’s Garage. Keep your eyes peeled! (updated 2023)
