Hailing from Phuket, Rec. ‘n Cue have been shaking up dancefloors since 2020. Their eclectic and funky sound has garnered them quite the following not only in Thailand, but all over South East Asia. Rec. ‘n Cue was started as a passion project by three friends: Tissanai, Nutnai and Jah. They felt uninspired by the music scene in Phuket, which was made up mostly of EDM, and felt like their sound was not being represented. So they decided to do something about it. They formed Rec. ‘n Cue during COVID, spending hours digging through vinyl and exchanging music at SEDO IZIKURA, a well-known music hotspot in Phuket Town. Rec. 'n Cue defies genre limitations and cannot be confined to a single musical style. Their diverse repertoire spans across various genres, ranging from house to tech house, funk, disco to indie dance. Drawing inspiration from their Thai roots, and blending them in a contemporary fashion, Rec. ‘n Cue have been cultivating a unique and exciting sound which has become well-known to dancers in the region. In 2022, Rec. ‘n Cue hosted TAN TAB LAB, a wildly successful 3-day music festival on Coconut Island which had more than 30 DJs. Most recently, the trio performed at one of the most coveted stages at Asia’s biggest music festival: WONDERFRUIT’S SOLAR STAGE. They served as the opening act for house legend JAMIE JONES at MUMU CLUBHOUSE. They can masterfully command any environment, and can often be heard on renowned dancefloors such as BABALOOP, CAFÉ DEL MAR, and SHELTER.
