Ratepus JD, dj, promoter and vinyl junkie, has been an active participant in the music scene in Lodz, Poland for years. He started his musical career in 1993 as the frontman of the local funk-rock band Kisiel. After the band broke up in 2003, he started visiting techno clubs and thus discovered the world of electronic music, which soon after gave birth to his first DJ performances. Inspired by the psychedelia of the '60s and '70s as well as electronic pioneers such as Autechre, Orbital, Plaid, Brian Eno and Future Sound of London, he dives into the world of techno and ambient music and in the following years becomes an indispensable part of the local scene. At the same time, he also organizes techno events, the most important of which is the experimental music festival L'tronica. His set is a combination of various styles, from house, dub techno to Romanian minimalist influences.
