Rasmus Lützen
Biografía
Coming from the land where the northern light illuminate the night, Rasmus Lützen has always been attracted by the hot sun from the south. With his deep blue eyes, and his allure of the little prince, this big dreamer was made for music and travel. And it’s down under, on the huge land of Australia, that Rasmus, just out of high school, first unraveled his precious collection of sound and his talent as a DJ. But not only.
Rasmus is a dreamer and a maker. Passionate to bring music out of the club, and to share his passion for electronic music, he equipped an old Volkswagen kombi van with 2 Technics 1210’s and a mixer so he could drop of beats everywhere he goes. The danish DJ who had a radio show in a local radio in Byron Bay and was publishing hundreds of podcast on internet with his fine selection of minimal techno from underground danish labels and Berlin friends, start to organise popup parties on the beach, in the middle of a field, on the top of the hill, starting to create the legend of those « impromptu » happy parties that you shall never miss.
This one of a kind Wizard of Oz is a DJ and also a dancer, his eyes never leave the feet of the audience. He is a listener, and knows well how to take you by the hand for a melodic journey through the sounds that follow the beat of his heart. Melodic uptempo and atmospheric sounds of minimal techno, waves of latin beats, sharpened by sawtooth synthesizer sounds : here are the ingredients of Rasmus recipe to make music lovers dance. Originals sets that could last forever (Rasmus always keep some secret tracks out of his pocket) that will bring him to play to Eclipse festival and Subsonic festival from which he quickly became family.
After 7 winters in Oceania, the danish DJ changed the orientation of his compass to head to Brazil where he started to make a name from Rio to São Paulo. Strong of his Australian and European experiences to bring his magic in the most unexpected place, Rasmus Lützen started to play from underground parties (Voodoohop and Voodoostock) to the most legendary clubs of São paulo (D.EDGE), not to mention playing for a famous brazilian models underwear fashion show !!! Everywhere he goes, Rasmus is seeding love with his music, bounding family links that made every city a home.
Spending his winter down south, Rasmus Lutzen also created solid bounds on the european scene during the summer seasons, raving from Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) to Sonar festival where he promoted danish electronic labels like MIS Records and Radio Recordings, to Fusion festival where he brought his new rolling creation : a DJ Bike. With 2 CDJ’s and a mixer, this rolling booth created in Copenhagen to promote green energy, stays in the heart and in the memories of most of the Berlin festival lovers. Who doesn't remember this impromptu party out of the Bachstelzen hidden scene with Unders and Britta Arnold in 2016 ??? !!! The danish DJ also played in many parties in Denmark, Norway and Portugal in which he had the opportunity to be programed alongside Michael Mayer and David Basek, but never kept away his passion of bringing music out of the club setting his soundsystem in a bus, at a bus stop or along a lake. 2018 opened a new beautiful season of gigs for him playing for the closing of the Club G64 in Copenhagen and at Garbicz festival in Poland. A proper energetic starter to get ready for a new winter in Brazil.
