Raphaël Top-Secret
Biografía
Raphaël Top-Secret can be regularly heard rocking some of the best underground parties and festivals around the world as far wide as São Paulo, Melbourne, Seoul or Vancouver.
Since the early 2000’s he has forged a distinctive reputation for seamlessly mixed quality tracks across a variety of genres - whether it be Disco, House, Italo, Electro-Funk, Deep-Techno, Downtempo, R’n’B, Dub or Jazz, that hearing a marathon set could be one of life's greatest pleasures - experiencing timeless sounds, so familiar, yet so unknown …
On the production side, his early days included highly sought after edits for Rush Hour, Dekmantel, Macadam Mambo, hybrid pop tracks for Antinote and a beautiful remix for Versatile. In 2018 his compilation skills found a home on Music from Memory with "Uneven Paths: Deviant Pop From Europe, 1980-1991", in collaboration with friend & label head Jamie Tiller, which was highly anticipated and released to critical acclaim, earning them an invitation to Dekmantel’s Boiler Room this same year for a raucous b2b performance.
In 2021, Raphaël cemented his relationship with legendary Paris venue Rex Club with his own residency “Club Secreto”, hosting some of his favourite artists such as Moodymann, Sassy J, Loud-E. A place to lose yourself in the music, immersive visuals are provided by collaboration with Finnish video artist and VJ resident Irene Suosalo.
2022 brings the birth of his own label “Cachette” with two original productions under the alias RTSAK in collaboration with Antoine Kogut. Packaged with killer Benedek & Pender Street Steppers remixes, Test Pressing reviews of “a killer 12’” and “proper grooves!” are certainly an indication of things to come.
