Rap (Uk)

RAP's music 'slices through the sooty gloom of Margaret Thatcher’s early reign and the hangar-like raves of Rotterdam a decade later, yet it sounds explicitly now, even though it doesn’t sound much like any other electronic music being made at the moment... Caught between proto-techno and post-everything, (their) songs have a dizzying way of collapsing eras together.' (Pitchfork) "Released on cult London label Jolly Discs, their debut album ‘Export’ is one of the most surprising and talked-about records of 2019. It combines in unusual and unheard ways different influences, including dub techno, post-punk, gabber, and shoegaze." (clubtoclub)
