Rana Iravani was born in San Francisco and grew up in Dubai, before spending time in Berlin and ultimately making New York City her home. A DJ, producer, singer and songwriter, she began her musical journey playing piano and flute and later graduated from New York University. Music has always been at the center of her life, guiding her from Berlin’s underground community to the vibrant dance floors of New York. Her sound is rooted in minimal house, woven with groovy, soulful and deep elements. Influenced by voices like Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse, and Etta James, Rana often incorporates her own vocals into her productions, creating an intimate energy that carries into her DJ sets. She aims to uplift, connect, and give people something to feel together on the dance floor. Rana began DJing in her teens while also fronting a rock band in New York as its lead singer, performing at venues such as The Bitter End. Those early years of singing live gave her a strong sense of storytelling and presence, qualities that now shape the emotion and flow of her sets. She has shared the stage with artists including Fisher, Nic Fanciulli, Marco Faraone, Nandu, Sam Shure, Mita Gami, Arodes, and Avangart Tabldot. Her performances span festivals such as Soul of Masara and venues like Elsewhere, Gospel, Silo, 99 Scott, and Outer Heaven, alongside international appearances in Morocco, Dubai, Paris, Kitzbühel, Bali, Puglia, and Madrid. A familiar name across New York’s club scene, Rana continues to evolve her artistry while staying true to what drives her most: the joy of making people dance and the possibility of creating shared, uplifting moments through music.
