QUEENYY

QUEENYY began with sultry, rasp-laced vocals and vulnerable songwriting, debuting her genre-bending sound on her EP Distance (2019–2020). By 2021, she expanded into self-directed visuals, blending music and dance. In 2022, she stepped behind the decks, channeling her global travels and dance background into sets rooted in tribal, groove-heavy house, deep techno, bouncy breaks, and liquid basslines-crafted to move bodies and shift energy. Known for boundary-pushing selections, she continues to explore the edges of global underground music. Her evolution took her to India in 2023 for a 200-hour yoga training, then to South Africa to study African street dance. She later taught in Johannesburg and led movement practices at PNW Afro Dance Camp in Seattle, while also creating local workshops and femme-focused DJ spaces. Today, QUEENYY is a regular at City At Night and The Flava Factory, with appearances at Igloofest, Pique Festival, Axé Worldfest, and more. She has shared lineups with Kaskade, Hector Romero and Swimming Paul and performed internationally in the UK and Brazil. QUEENYY creates spaces rooted in movement, connection, and expression—blending sound, science, and spirit to push the culture forward.
