Instantly hooked since discovering dubstep and grime in arguably its prime in 2007, Quakes has been energised by the earth-shattering sounds of UK bass music for the majority of his life. Following 9 years as a classically-trained percussionist and drummer, he has been organising and playing at bush doofs, warehouse raves and underground outdoor parties Australia and NZ since 2017, most recently including 3 sets at Twisted Frequency Festival (NZ) 2025. With a deep appreciation for bassweight and syncopated basslines, his style is percussive and deeply atmospheric. This purveyor of deep underground sounds is guaranteed to make the ground shake.
