pvrtal (pronounced ‘portal’) is a DJ and producer based in Naarm, and a proud Gunai, Yorta Yorta and Waywurru artist. His sets move fast and with intent, threading through hard house, trance and techno with a focus on tightly locked rhythms. Influenced by artists like KETTAMA, Interplanetary Criminal, X-CLUB and Newtone, pvrtal brings a percussive, groove-driven sound that sits somewhere between late-night chaos and melodic euphoria. Recent appearances include turbo422, Glamorama, Revolver Upstairs and Sugarbush Open Air, where he also plays a role in programming and production. Through his work as a curator and event organiser, and as a founding member of Naarm-based imprint Tjum Tjumba, pvrtal continues to push for stronger Blak representation across clubs, labels and festival lineups, while carving out a distinct identity in the electronic scene.
