For Promenade, being an artist has always been linked with the organisation and promotion of events. Hence the creation of the Jungle Vibes nights, which in five years of running has ensured DP and Promenade's recognition throughout italy as two of the best djs around. In the console Promenade lets loose with up to three decks for sets which even the most discerning junglist can't ignore and has played countless other venues and festivals, ranging from Electrowave and Day Off Festival to Elita and Starlight. He has also played a lot on the international circuit; London, Prague, Valencia, Germany and most recently Madrid. Besides headlining alongside some of the best djs in the world, DP and Promenade's releases on G Recordings and Chronic have been repeatedly played by artists such as Roni Size, Aphrodite, Dillinja and Brian G, whilst also making frequent appearances on radio shows such as BBC 1Xtra and Kiss FM (Hype's long running weekly show). With the summer of 2011 comes the creation of a new project, BNCExpress, a label with which Promenade aims to bring together young Italian producers to create a new, smoother, more funk orientated sound. Alongside the label, Promenade is involved in another ambitious project: BNCExpress Live Band. BNCexpress BNC Express is an independent drum & bass label based in Italy. It was set up by DJ Promenade but input comes from a large variety of producers intent on pushing the concept as far as possible. The participation of so many people from so many different musical backgrounds gives the project a fresh sound and a diverse outlook towards making music. The first release will have a liquid funk vibe, but future ones will range from jump up and ragga jungle to neurofunk. BNC Express is also about providing a means for upcoming artists to express themselves freely and develop their passion and sounds – all the artists involved share the common view that paying too much attention to sub-genres is unproductive and musically limiting
