PR!MAL (UK)

Biografía

Starting out as a drummer, PR!MAL’s approach to DJing is rooted in rhythm, energy and instinct. Their sets strip back the pressures of the outside world and let the dancefloor take over, moving fluidly across house, garage, bassline and jungle, with ballroom, vogue and hyperpop emerging in queer spaces. Shaped by years performing across Leeds and York, their sound is unboxed and high energy, built around connection, release and raw expression. Drawing from Northern club culture and sound system influence, PR!MAL creates dancefloors that feel intense, freeing and alive. As a queer and disabled artist, they are committed to building inclusive environments where people can move, express and exist without judgement. This ethos runs through both their performances and their wider work in nightlife. They have built a growing presence across the North, playing in Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and beyond, including queer spaces on Canal Street and major venues in York. PR!MAL has supported artists such as Laidback Luke, Flowdan, General Levy and Window Kid, alongside radio features and festival appearances. Beyond DJing, they co run a queer led events collective focused on uplifting underrepresented talent and pushing grassroots club culture forward.
