Bubbling just below the underbelly of Belfast’s electronic music community, Preference has been quietly making himself known amongst his contemporaries with a slew of Personal Preference radio shows showcasing his textural and left-of-centre production and DJing style. A perfectionist by nature, Preference plays his cards quite close to his chest when it comes to snippets of his productions. Instead of adopting the furious release schedule that so many modern artists find themselves in, Preference prefers to take as much time and care as possible with his sonics, fine-tuning them with subtle flashes of crisp percussive energy and experimental sound-design that make for a completely sound-enveloping experience.
