Polisha
Biografía
Paul Fonte Gussoni a.k.a Polisha is a emmergent talent from Villa Gesell, Argentina, a little coast city by the atlantic ocean. His passion for music started arising when he was just a kid, influenced by his father Walter, a radio host and DJ from the 80's and 90's.
He started learning to play bass and guitar when he was 11, influenced mostly by psychedelic rock and the alternative sounds of grunge from the 90's, as well as Argentinean rock and pop. He started to get into electronic music with just 13 years, listening to Dj Sets from the ones like Above and Beyond, Dash Berlin, Ferry Corsten, etc. He started loving the sounds of progressive house and trance right away.
When he was 18, he bought his first synth, an Arturia Microbrute, and got incredibly interested with the sounds of electronic instruments. He started to get musical production lessons in Mar del Plata. He started to get known in the atlantic coast scene as a DJ when he was around 22, and started releasing music with 24 years in some small techno labels like PD Digital and Egothermya. He got to play in many cities around Argentina, in venues like Pueblo Limite, San Bernardo Chico, Breena, etc. He even got his own residence alongside his collegue Cruxcez in the mythical Chauen Bar, a place with more than 25 years of history, where south american eminences such as Barem, Udolph and Alexis Cabrera had lighten up the dance floor many times.
In 2023, he arrived in Europe, spent a few months in Ibiza and then moved to Barcelona. He instantly started to get a lot of influences with some other underground musical styles, such as Electro, Minimal and UK Garage. As a record collector for many years now, he was completely amazed with the amount of music that he would find in the record stores around the EU. As he started to get into the scene in Europe, he got the chance to play in some incredible places like Amsterdam, Andorra, and in many venues around Barcelona, the city he chose as a home for a while.
