The fundamental fascination mostly arises from the observation of phenomena in the analogue world, which are then taken as a starting point for the development of projects in digital environments. At the centre of all these explorations is the question of how we can perceive or process information through our senses at all. Musically speaking, Planar's style can be characterized by an intense and deep atmosphere that is seeking to drive a perpetual tension in space. Besides a preference for lush sounding synths, accents are set by complex percussive components that are underscored atmospherically by the use of field recordings – all fusing in continuous repetition.
