London based PISSXIE (/pɪs-ks-iː/) is a South Asian DJ, producer and multi-discplinary artist. Their cross-genre selections of bass, hard dance and experimental sounds are sure to cause mind-numbing, intoxicating, heart-stopping ferality. Upon moving to London, PISSXIE quickly made their paw-print in the queer underground scene, hypnotising crowds at psuedo-hardcore rave GutterRing, queer art-rave Riposte- hosted at Electrowerkz- and playing alongside names such as Wanton Witch and Samantha Togni at Inferno London (Babylon), held at Colour Factory. The artist’s productions have been played on radio stations such as NTS1, with a release on GutterRing’s BodyLepsis compilation album- achieving Bandcamp’s album of the day title and a feature in Office magazine NYC. With their monthly Brixton radio residency, they bring high-energy, genre-defying sounds to break boundaries within contemporary dance music. Standing at the intersection of subculture, dance music and identity, PISSXIE founded club night “r u a goff?” (@ruagoff) to diversify the industry and platform up-and-coming artists, allowing them to exercise creative freedom by breaking free from the constraints of genre.
