Phyles

Phyles is a French DJ and producer based in Lisbon, developing a high-energy sound at the intersection of hard bounce, hard trance, techno and Latin club music. Fast, playful and built for peak-time dancefloors, his sets move between euphoric trance melodies, heavy rolling basslines, Brazilian and Latin influences, and edits designed around immediate crowd reaction. His path behind the decks has taken him through Bordeaux, Prague, Padova and now Lisbon. During his time in Italy, Phyles held a six-month residency at Fishmarket in Padova, before relocating to Portugal and becoming increasingly involved in Lisbon’s club scene. He is now a resident DJ at Komplex and founder of Ondra, a Lisbon-based collective through which he also curates and organizes his own events. As a producer, Phyles has gradually pushed away from his earlier house influences toward faster and harder club music while keeping melody, groove and unexpected references at the center of his productions. His releases and unreleased material have received support from DJs including Peterblue, Cara Elizabeth and Paralich, while one of his tracks has already made its way onto the dancefloor at Tomorrowland. Across his releases, remixes and edits, his music has accumulated more than 100,000 streams. Phyles approaches DJing with the same philosophy as his productions: high energy without sacrificing personality. Rather than staying locked into one narrow interpretation of hard dance, his sets can move through hard bounce, trance, techno, Latin rhythms and recognizable vocal moments, creating a balance between underground club music and tracks that connect instantly with a room. Now based permanently in Lisbon, Phyles is building the next stage of the project around original music, European bookings and the community developing around Ondra with the aim of creating a sound and identity that can travel far beyond his home scene.
