Born in the post-GDR town of Jena, Phino Grigio demonstrates a hands-on approach to everything she puts her mind to, be it kickboxing, her political activism or working as a boatbuilder. After helping build up the Jena-based CRAVE: imprint (figuratively) and the Kulturschlachthof (literally), it was just a matter of time until she put her own hands on decks. Her distinctively athletic y2k Trance sound seemed to hit a sweet spot and launched her skyrocketing career, granting her slots at the infamous Douala Club as well as at Kalif Storch next to MCR-T or with Trancekraft 4000 and Girlcast. After having to take a break from DJing due to an autoimmune disease and relocating to the South of Germany, the powerhouse is set on getting back behind the decks with her entrancing sound and her delicacy of the crowd. Unafraid of the abyss, her new sets take an even deeper look into the dark parts of Electronic Dance Music, leading back to her roots in Post-Punk and Dark Wave.
