Deeply rooted in Dresden, Eastgermany´s Detroit, phillson encountered many different influences that accompany and drive him to this day. In his childhood, classical music and concert guitar dominated for 12 years, until he emancipated himself with bass in various bands and finally rediscovered the world of music as a DJ. The classics of electronic music, the ones made between the 70s to 90s, already played a role in his parents' home and paved the way for a journey through a wide variety of styles. Phillson dislikes arguing about genres. Labels and colors change just like the associations with them. What works and makes sense is allowed for him. Since 2015, Syn.thie.Verrückt has been his crew and family. A residency at the TBA Club Dresden followed in 2017. Out of a collaboration with his resident colleague and friend Nautika originated the “Nacht & Nebel”-series. According to never ending rumors, Magic Mirsch aka Len Richardson shall not only be part of his formation "schon wieder, schon wieder", but also phillson's long-lost twin brother. Other degrees of kinship are to be found in projects such as "Christine & Mary Beth", "Steven Sun & Robyn Ray" or "Cirkid" – which for phillson are welcomed and beloved possibilities way to channel his energy and creativity.
