Pharis

Pharis is a techno producer and DJ based in Australia, crafting sound that is deep, dark, and hypnotic, built on precision and texture. His releases on Melbourne’s Machine label and Warsaw’s 999 imprint highlight a balance of raw energy and refined sound design. Collaborative projects with Chanjo (Parallel 38) and Composite Cone, released on Dark Modular (Athens) and Machine (Melbourne), explore the tension between structure and intensity. Originally from South Korea, Pharis brings his sound to both the club and the underground as a resident DJ of +Six12. He performs across Melbourne’s network of raves and warehouse spaces and is known for sets that draw listeners into a focused, immersive flow. As the co-founder of Abrasion Collective, he also works to support and strengthen Melbourne’s underground scene, contributing to a community that champions darker and more abrasive sounds.
