His releases, sets and gigs constantly draw ever-growing crowds. 15 years of dedication to his craft have given him clarity and maturity about his musical identity. Still a producer embodying the purist values of Techno, Peter Eilmes is now expanding new musical frontiers, making his voice heard loudly in the realm of energetic and wonderful Techno. Born in Frankfurt and raised in the region, his young life already reads like that of a Phoenix, the classic story of rebirth. As a music and technology loving kid his passion led him to stumble upon success through organizing the still notorious “Earuption” parties in Tanzhaus West’s Dora Brilliant in 2005. The parties exceeded expectations and DJ-residencies in U60311 and Cocoonclub soon followed. But as the scene became more minimal-housy, Peter found himself longing for rougher and darker sounds. He sensed that it was time to buck the trend, to do his thing and so he buckled down in the studio with a mission. Until then production had come second to DJing, but now Peter shifted fundamentally. He took on production with the same intensity and dedication as he had taken on mixing records a decade earlier. Soon his de facto home was the studio space he shared with Brian Sanhaji and Chris Liebing, with whom he quickly struck deep friendships. They gave Peter advice, which he eagerly soaked up. The progress Peter made with his music and the focus he applied impressed Chris Liebing. As a result the world got to hear Peter’s mix on the CLR Podcast, which showed a new, energetically pulsating, dark and at times even slightly dangerous sound. The world listened in awe and gigs at Space Ibiza, Nature One, Sziget Festival, Hive, Tresor and Studio80 haven proven Peter’s new identity right. Releases on Blank Code, Trapez Ltd. and EgoTon have already painted a clear picture of his musical journey. Still, 2017 marked a new milestone, kicked off with the release of “States of Matter” Peter’s first full-length EP on his own label Sensor, which he runs with Brian Sanhaji. While the songs on the EP have their roots in the Detroit strain of Techno tradition, listeners can clearly hear that only Peter could have produced them. His new residency at Str8 is his new creative home back in Frankfurt where he continues to artfully forge his sound, before going back on the road. Mature and more energetic than ever before, Peter Eilmes keeps driving forward. With vaults full of music waiting to be released, it is only a matter of time until the world, which is already proving eager for more, falls further in love with one of Techno’s most intriguing artists of the generation.
