Pervasive was introduced to electronic music at the early age of five, listening to his father’s Jean-Michael Jarre cassettes, and by the age of nine was break dancing to the sounds of old school legends such as Bomfunk MCs, Flying Steps, Westbam and Carl Cox. After his football career as a goalkeeper was derailed by an injury in 2009, he immersed himself in the local dance music scene, attending events at Bulgaria’s premiere clubs Plazma in Plovdiv and Dance Club Mania in Sunny Beach and listening to the likes of Shoto and Vesselin, Pacho and Pepo, Metodi Hristov and Pavel Petrov. In 2017 at his then current home of Trondheim, Norway, Pervasive himself began mixing on his first ever setup - CDJ 100s and a DJM 300 mixer. There he established Northern Impact before moving to London in 2018 where he continues to dedicate himself to the dance music community, organising events and playing at clubs.
