Penhai_kun

German born with kurdish roots, Penhai_kun is a established name within the Gothenburg Techno scene. Having started his journey in 2016, he has featured in various lineups and DIY-projects across Sweden and back home in Germany. His latest involvements are in the collectives Obalans as a resident DJ and in Nakama.Gbg as a currator. Drawn to everything old school, his fascination since childhood for 90´s hip hop is where he found his love for punchy provocative drum patterns, influencing his current style of house and techno. Soundwise, he is navigating in the borderland between deep, rolling, and minimalistic soundscapes, with a core groove working as the base of every set.
