Paz was born and raised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Paz is her official birth name and Techno is her Pazzion!
As a teenager she was present during the development of the Dutch house scene in the ‘80s.
Every week she counted down the days until the weekend so she could feel free and unlimited on the dance floor, drowning in the dark beats and the strobe. She went from illegal underground parties and eccentric clubs such as the Roxy (Amsterdam) and Café d'Anvers (Antwerp) to the first larger house parties such as Hellraiser in Sporthallen Zuid and Awakenings in de Gashouder.
But then from her mid-20s to her mid-40s, her work life completely consumed her and she eventually ended up in a burnout. During her recovery she went to raves and techno festivals and felt the music again.
She realized there and then, on the dance floor, that her love for music, and especially techno, was the Pazzion that was missing from her life.
Tracks by Alignment and Charlotte de Witte have influenced her in these years, but the old school tracks by Liaison D and Space Trax have also determined her music taste. And of course the real classics such as Front 242 and Prodigy have also influenced her music.
She started experimenting with making (dark) techno tracks and developed her skills more and more. Encouraged by her inner circle, she started to develop into a full-fledged producer, hoping that her tracks could bring joy and love to so many other people to make them feel the music.
She had her first release on Beatport and Spotify with the track Vox on the label Syncable.
