Working in the electronic music industry since the age of seventeen. PAPÜ was a writer for eight years at the famous nightlife magazine, The Beat Bali, since 2012. Interviewing and writing about the best artists and parties of the island in its busiest years. Shortly after, moving to Amsterdam to study sound production at SAE Institute and discovered his love for underground electronic music. His return to Bali with his new found knowledge sparked the passion to chase a career as a producer and DJ and never looked back since. ESCAPE PRESENTS BALI Working as a resident DJ and event-coordinator for Escape Presents, alongside renowned DJs and producers; Kaiser Waldon & Scotty Cal. After establishing themselves in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, the party brand expanded to Bali, Indonesia, where WILFORD (PAPÜ) was recruited and helped solidify Escape as the most hyped house & techno event curators on the island. Recent Escape activity includes PAPÜ's move to Tulum, Mexico where he has been running events with his partner Mikayla Sessions at Venues like Radio Tulum & Gitano Beach Club. GYPSY LAND FESTIVAL Gypsy Land is a house & techno festival conceived in 2018, hosting over 5,000 attendants the first year and 8,000+ in 2019. PAPÜ not only joined the team as the resident DJ for the festival and it’s pre-parties, but is responsible for artist booking. NIKMAT RECORDS Nikmat Records is a record label which hosts exclusive weekly parties at Shady Pig, Bali. Nikmat is a jazz inspired house music label which showcases the islands best DJs and producers. Forthcoming releases are due in 2022.
