Rashid was born in 1996 in Toronto. His parents returned to their country of Mexico when he was only five years old, making him grow up in a tiny island in the state of Campeche, the south side of of the country. With little to no music scene in the place he grew up in, Rashid had a lot of work to do to find and discover music, a big passion of his ever since he listened to his dad’s record collection. His career in sharing music started by burning CDs in his teenage years to give them to the girls he liked, friends he enjoyed, and anyone who was willing to hear what he had to share. Later on in life he moved to Monterrey, a big city on the north that has a mythical club that changed his life: Topaz. When he was 18 he started dancing to house music and electronic rhythms, trying to find the sweet spot between the music he loved and the things that can make a body move. His philosophy on dancing breathes through his DJ sets. Then he moved to Mexico City and met like-minded people who persuaded him into following a career on music sharing, people who he is very thankful for and the members of the Boyanza Records family, the label he calls his home.
