PAØLO
Biografía
PAØLO, is a Sicilian DJ and producer active since the late 1990s. Raised in a music-driven environment through his older brother’s record collection, his early influences ranged from psychedelic rock to pop, before fully embracing electronic music. During the 1990s, inspired by the cultural impact of MTV and DeeJay Television, he discovered house and techno, laying the foundations of his artistic identity.
Beginning with homemade cassette mixes and improvised setups, PAØLO steadily refined his technique, eventually moving to professional turntables and developing a strong, personal approach to DJing. His early performances at underground afterparties marked his entry into the Sicilian electronic scene. Throughout the late ’90s and 2000s, he became known for his progressive house and techno sets, exploring a wide range of subgenres and deepening his musical language. A formative experience in England further broadened his vision, exposing him to breakbeat rhythms and the raw energy of club-driven techno culture.
Upon returning to Sicily, PAØLO established himself as a central figure within the local scene. He is the founder and driving force behind Electrolab, a platform that has played a significant role in shaping and promoting techno culture on the island. Alongside Electrolab, he has curated and developed influential projects and events, including Aftermania, Air Club, and InTheWoods, each reflecting his commitment to innovation, community building, and immersive musical experiences.
Defined by perseverance, passion, and continuous evolution, PAØLO channels his deep dedication to electronic music into high-energy, emotionally charged DJ sets. Blending progressive roots with a strong techno spirit, he transforms the dancefloor into a space of connection, intensity, and pure sonic expression.
