I started DJing at 18, and performed at a variety of social events throughout college in the late 2010s. During the lockdowns, I began to move beyond these initial contexts and think about the potentials of DJing as a deeper form of musical/cultural storytelling. My first mix, released in 2020, was a tribute to a late family member. Through all my work since, I've sought kinship with these common tools that DJs use, for the purposes of introverted connection, and extraordinary introspection. Most recently: - A series of free parties at a basement venue in rural New Hampshire. - An ambient set in Cambridge, opening for DJ Hello and Asphodel Ivory, informed by Steve Goodman's writing and Hyperdub's catalogue. - A club night at Glob in Denver. I work a wage job for a living, so my model of playing live is to plan a large show every few months.
